Defence, security and dual-use technology companies: invitation to Defence Innovation Day 2026, takes place in Tallinn on 21 September

Defence Innovation Day 2026 will open Estonian Defence Week, but it is a separate free one-day event taking place at Kultuurikatel / Tallinn Creative Hub. Participation requires prior registration and is subject to approval by the organisers.

The event will bring together startups, defence technology companies, investors, end-users, public sector representatives and ecosystem partners working across defence, security, resilience and dual-use technologies.

The programme will focus on three key themes:

• Who Builds, Who Scales: Inside Defence Innovation
• Battlefield Innovation: Lessons from Ukraine
• Protecting Society: From Hybrid Threats to Infrastructure Security

Confirmed speakers include Siim Sukles, Undersecretary for Defence Industry and Innovation at the Ministry of Defence of Estonia; Major Ivo Peets, Head of the Force Transformation Command at the Estonian Defence Forces; and Kadri Tammai, Regional Director at NATO DIANA.

Companies interested in showcasing their technology can request a booth in the Demo Area. Booth spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Participation: free of charge, but registration is mandatory and subject to approval by the organisers

Please note that registration for Defence Innovation Day does not grant access to other Estonian Defence Week events.
